August 2026 Pause Practice is your invitation to embrace you don't have to know everything. Wisdom does not come from knowing everything. It comes from remaining teachable.

The August edition of The Pause Practice explores The Wisdom of Staying Teachable and invites you to consider what this season may still have to teach you.

As responsibilities grow, it can become easy to assume that growth is primarily for beginners. You may be the person others look to for guidance, answers, leadership, or support. But some of life’s most important growth begins after you have become the one others depend on.

This month is an invitation to release the pressure to always know, remain open to correction and insight, and recognize the wisdom God may be revealing through everyday experiences.

August’s devotional is anchored in Proverbs 9:9 (NIV): “Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.”

Through a short devotional, guided reflection, and themed word-search activity, this edition creates space to slow down and consider where God may be inviting you to listen, learn, and grow again.
